Why County Chair Dave Helman Supports Steve Wilson

County Chair Dave Helman recently offered the following reasons why he is supporting Steve Wilson's bid for county supervisor: "Steve Wilson has the talent, workplace experience, openness, integrity, much- needed innovation, and much-needed energy required in the supervisor's office at this point in Henry County history. After fifteen years without a single member of the loyal opposition in the court house - in any post - we are getting the 'same old same old' at a time when energy, leadership, and new ideas are a must! Henry County is at a crossroads in more ways than one! Those Iowa counties that survive the current economic mess will be those that 'pick up their step,' challenge the status quo, lead through partnerships, engage in constructive debate, and get out of the office and on the job hunting trail with a clear plan of action. That will be Steve Wilson! Steve lives in rural Henry County, which is underrepresented by this board. At least one of the three supervisors should be from the county. Reasonable? Yes! Currently, none are." Dave Helman, Chairman, Henry County Democratic Party

  Party News<br>State and Local
The following posting was entered to our Henry County Democrats web-site when Tom served as Governor of Iowa and Christie as Iowa's First Lady.

“Proud to be a Henry County Democrat.” Our red t-shirts from our early days as Henry County activists are faded, but the feeling still motivates us as we go about the work of serving as governor and first lady of Iowa. Henry County Democrats have taught us that the small can be mighty, that the underdog can prevail. Henry County Democrats have taught us that politics can be fun. We welcome everyone who wants to join us as we work for issues that improve the lives of Iowa’s working families.
